BrokerIPTV: Hi everybody. This is Brian Brady for BrokerIPTV here at BloodHoundBlog Unchained social media marketing conference brought to you by Zillow.com here in beautiful Phoenix, Arizona and today, my guest is the den mother of BloodHoundBlog, Cathleen Collins. Hello Cathleen.

Cathleen Collins: Hi Brian. Hi everyone.

BrokerIPTV: We are excited to have Cathleen here. Cathleen goes back to the very genesis of BloodHoundBlog. Tell us a little bit about how the blog came about?

Cathleen Collins: Well, Greg Swann is my husband and the two of us have our own brokerage. It is a boutique brokerage, bloodhoundrealty.com; that is the name of the brokerage, the dotcom and Greg is a writer. He has been writing since before we knew each other and so the obvious thing for him to do was to write out a web blog. So, he tried a couple of times and failed both times before he got on the right formula and the right formula I think was largely influenced by Rain City Guide and he started watching what they were doing there. The link nation I think it was called and understanding that in order to be seen, you have got to be generous and make sure everybody else has a platform.

BrokerIPTV: Generous guys were. You brought, well now we are up to 20 some writers. Talk about how that affected BloodHoundBlog?

Cathleen Collins: It made it go, it just really grew like crazy. Greg and I got only two writers for the first couple of months and that brought us Russell Shaw. He saw our web blog and he had just read the book about web blogging, I can't remember the name of the author. BrokerIPTV: Blog Behavior. Cathleen Collins: Yeah, that is it and decided he needs to know how to web blog and so he called Greg up or emailed Greg and said, "I will make the deal with you. You teach me how to web blog and I will teach you systems" and [Inaudible] what a deal [Laughs] okay.

BrokerIPTV: That is a deal and all of a sudden BloodHoundBlog took off. In many ways, it has kind of become this swaggering, testosterone laden place. So, what is your job there? [Laughs]

Cathleen Collins: I have kind of been running, hiding lately.

BrokerIPTV: [Laughs] keep the boys alive though.

Cathleen Collins: I will. I keep at least one boy in mind. [Laughs]. Greg, I have a large sway[Phonetic] with him, but I am kind of just the moderate person who stays out of the fights although sometimes I do tend to jump in a little bit.

BrokerIPTV: Well, I think you are kinder, gentler, softer person that tempers all of the staff.

Cathleen Collins: I hope so.

BrokerIPTV: So, that is what BloodHoundBlog is and now we are at this conference, the Unchained conference. What do you think about that?

Cathleen Collins: Lord only knows. I have no idea. It has got to go where it is going to go because this is a very organic type of technology.
