It was early morning a couple of days ago. I was looking out my bedroom window to my backyard. It was one of those rare moments in the last couple of weeks when it wasn't raining hard. I saw these two land and interact. I didn't have my camera but I got it and they were still there enjoying each other. They spent the better part of an hour on my bench just hanging around and I felt like a voyeur watching them.

Fabulous. Great photos and heartfelt sentiment.
When I was in high school, we had moved to Turkey and my Schwinn bike was relegated to a back balcony in a sort of condo building.
Morning doves and pigeons were everywhere. We conned one or two with corn leading into the kitchen and when they would be finished pecking the corn, they would turn around and look around wondering what happened.
The cooing was something that was always in the air. I love hearing morning doves do that.
One day my mom saw 'Margie' in the basket of the Schwinn forming a nest. In a few weeks two doves were tending their newborn.
