Bloodhound Blog Unchained Steve Hundley and how 1parkplace focuses on Web 2.0.

BrokerIPTV: Greeting viewers and welcome to BloodhoundBlog's Unchained sponsored by Zillow.com. We are here at the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona - the fabulous social media real estate event first time this year and we have the pleasure to be with Steve Hundley and Steve Hundley is from 1parkplace and Steve, you were up there in the panel. What was your focus that you are trying to bring to the agency of Web 2.0 world?

Steve Hundley: My focus is don't forget about the basics. Make sure that you followup with everyone in your contact database. Make sure you are doing a good job marketing to people you already know first before going out trying to find someone on the Internet that you have never met before.

BrokerIPTV: You know 1parkplace is a unique product that marries a CRM on the back with IDX. I think that is really your secret as far as the people that are using your product in conversion right?

Steve Hundley: Correct, about 90% of the home buying public want to search for homes. They don't care about the agents, they don't care about the brokers. They care about themselves and what they care about is property. So, what we do is we develop a high quality interface for consumers to empower themselves with all of the real estate listings which then invites them to actually sign up to get additional information. Their sign up information goes inside the contact database that automatically kicks off drip email programs and notification programs and lets the client empower themselves even deeper and gives the agent full information as to everything that client is doing. So, when they call them, they are knowledgeable on that first call.

BrokerIPTV: What has been the feedback as far as drip systems for people in permission based marketing that have given their name and email address?

Steve Hundley: Well, the thing is that when they come to your site, they are either serious or they are not. So, the ones that do fill out the information know that they are going to be contacted. They do that on purpose. In fact, what is really funny is that historically a lot of people who have given the agents their information to get contacted, a lot of agents don't even contact them, so that is the crazy thing. In our system, we would shoot them if they did that. We make sure it goes right to their cell phone, their pager, everything starts ringing when they got a new lead.

BrokerIPTV: Yeah, I guess like they say what 95% of it is just showing up.

Steve Hundley: Right and you got that 15 minute rule because guess what? That client is not just shopping on your site. They are actually going to other agent sites and the first one to call them wins.

BrokerIPTV: Well, Steve, insightful information. Thanks for being here. Have you learned anything else from Unchained this year?

Steve Hundley: Oh, my goodness there is so much information. I'm running out of time. In fact, there is a whole side of this world that I never even knew, so I am so excited to be here.

BrokerIPTV: Great. Thanks again and for more great insightful real estate news, keep your browser on BrokerIPTV.com.

I had a personal, very bad experience with this company on an earlier website of mine and after many conversations with Steve, I quit their service and would never go back. I am a very experienced website owner and did not get good service.  Normally I would let something like this go, but money was involved and things were not resolved satisfactorily.  Maybe you want to be 100% sure you do your due diligence before signing with ParkPlace for your property search component on your website.

Kimberly-  I am sorry to hear that.  As this is the transparent web, we hope that people can learn form each other on their vendor choices.

Hey Kimberley,

I know Steve Hundley  and his team at 1PP pretty well.  I ran the Unchained conference where Steve spoke and Mark Eibner covered.  Thanks to both of them for their contributions; they made Unchained a resounding success.

I think agents should absolutely perform the proper due diligence on any technology vendor before forking over money.  Especially today in this declining market.  I'd agree with you there.

I had a personal, very bad experience with this company on an earlier website of mine and after many conversations with Steve, I quit their service and would never go back.

That's so surprising to me.  Steve has been so responsive to my crazy ideas about creating a "mortgage rates widget" for my weblog.  I approached hm because:

1- He has some 16,000 customers.

2- He has demonstrated results (his customers include two of the top PruCal agents in San Diego and one of the top mortgage originators in San Diego)

3- He always calls me back.

4- He's local; I can visit his office.

Your comment makes me wonder what specifically happened to make your experience bad.  Can you clarify that?
