Wordless Wednesday...Join Me?

There’s something about benches that draw me to them. I love seeing them but oddly enough, I rarely spend any time sitting on them. (yes...another bench post)

When I see them I can’t help but wonder if the bench ever gets used. It’s there but does anyone sit on it? Is it waiting so it can “do its job?”

This one looks like the perfect place to read a book...bring a picnic lunch...or fish. It has the perfect view, don’t you think?

Kathy benches do seem to make a statement, but they are not very comfortable to sit on.

Love it Kathy Streib ! There is a lovely bench out in the middle of the preserve where we go hiking. Rarely do we see anyone sitting on it. We do from time to time just to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and views. It was built in the honor of a couple who obviously hiked the preserve for years . I should find out their story!

Brian England I would love that.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel When we first moved to South Florida we would walk every evening along Deerfield Beach. The benches were filled with seniors who would come out after dinner and chat with their friends. I loved that.

Oh wow! I have that same fascination and never sit on them! I've actually purchased lovely benches for my backyard - just for viewing or others to sit on them - and never, ever sat on them!

And, I also have a fascination with bridges - I don't know why for either, Kathy! LOL
