This morning I went through my normal morning routine of scooping my coffee into the basket and plugging in my coffee pot.  Simultaneously, I was running the dishwasher and also had just put a load of laundry into the washing machine right down the hall from my kitchen.

I then sat down to think through some things.

I heard the slamming of the water through the coffee beans.

I heard the rigorous shaking of the clothes in the washing machine.

I heard the forceful movement of water hitting the items I had loaded into the dishwasher.

Suddenly it struck me...

The best cup of coffee must first endure the difficult process of having the coffee beans crushed then slammed with boiling hot water.

Clean clothes emerge from the washing machine after being bounced, slammed, and shaken to the core with a rigorous workout.

Sparkling dishes are unloaded from the dishwasher only after being scorched and forcefully pounded with the intensity of powerful water.

Are you feeling a bit discouraged today?

Are you feeling a bit crushed  because you thought by this time in your life, things might look a bit different in your life?

Perhaps you're feeling bounced around or shaken by dreams that have not yet fully come to fruition.

Maybe you're feeling pounded by a mixture of emotions and unsure of your next step...

I hold no crystal ball - and I certainly

wouldn't dare to offer advice for your specific circumstance.

Yet, I hope to extend a morsel of encouragement.

Please be reminded -

When I pause to consider the long road the coffee beans had to travel from the plant to my cup...
and the tremendous amount of strain and stress endured to bring forth my sweet and smooth cup of  deliciousness...
I am reminded -
that most of life's victories emerge after countless hours of perseverance!

*Thank you for taking the time to pause and read my thoughts.  I hope these words have been inspiring and encouraging to you.  I welcome your feedback.  Please contact me at mariasapio.com
