2019 Carlsbad Village Flicks at the Fountain
Series Starts Thursday July 11
We still have a little time before summer officially arrives (5 weeks from tomorrow), but it’s not too early to begin thinking about the 7th annual Flicks at the Fountain series that begin Thursday July 11th, for 6 consecutive Thursdays through August 15th. Get it on your calendar now!
More importantly, if you are interested, you can vote for the movies you would like to see during this summer’s series. Carlsbadians can vote here for 6 movies from a selection of 14 different ones...and it’s a pretty good list.
But that’s not all - you can also suggest movies suitable for general audiences (preferably G and PG, but PG-13 will be considered) by emailing the Carlsbad Village Association (see the website).
The Flicks at the Fountain take place by the Carlsbad Village fountain at parking lot at the corner of State Street and Grand Avenue. Seating starts at 6 pm and movies begin around dusk (around 8 pm or so). Be sure to bring your chairs and blankets just in case the evening near the beach is chilly!!
And don’t forget your food/snacks and drinks. Or make it easy and stop off at one of the local eateries/shops in the Village for take-out!
