We know that some people think of Wisconsin somewhere near Alaska and lots of snow....yadda yadda....and we are here to tell you in lovely PURPLE and white...it is NOT the case !
It is suppose to rain this afternoon and our mulch was ready but the landscaper could not be until next week....rain last night made the area around our lampost easy to weed, preen and mulch...the rest of the side and back we will "save" for him. Here is my dirt-i-cure to prove it...gardeninng gloves are soooo clumsy...or maybe it's not the gloves...
When we were building our house...we drove there daily and passed a tree that had pinky/purple flowers....and I knew that had to be part of our landscape plan. We have two raised beds in the front yard and one has the red bud we LOVE to see flower every spring.
Here it is with it's delicate flowers...I love them !
In the back yard we have a tree that has white blossoms..the first good rain and it will only be great green foliage but for the next little bit here it is...blossoms already fallen underneath..not to be mistaken for snow ! Taken from our deck which is off the first floor of our ranch...but it is an exposed ranch so appears to be off the second floor.
And while I have absolutely NO claim to green thumbs...I choose the flowers that please me and cross my thumbs the perrenials return after their sheltered winter under the landscape stone...so far so good...here are the irises...the daylilies are up but yet blooming.
Spring HAS sprung...buyers are out and we with them shortly...so time to shed my dirt-i-cure and get ready...Happy Weekend !
