My Garden is Sending Out Heat Waves of Color

clematis

Looking out of my kitchen window this morning, I was pleased to see my new Vivienne Clematis has bloomed. I love the large purple flowers, especially since my other Clematis turned out to have tiny purple blooms.

My hot red/orange poppies needed some brassy neighbors, and I think Viviennepoppy is going to give them a run for their money.  Not that the bluestars don't think they are the bluestarmost glorious flowers in the garden! They keep spreading their wings  and crowding out other plants every year, probably looking for global domination.

I planned my garden, Nina, so that I could see an arbor and flowers from my kitchen.

"Pops of color" seems to be a catch phrase now Sheila, but it is lovely to see in action!

Hi Carolyn- Those are beautiful colors to see in any garden!!! This reminds me of my late father-in-laws garden when we would visit in the summer. There was color everywhere.

I love that big ole orange Asian poppy, Carolyn.  We had those growing at the home I grew up in.

I love the beautiful flowers in your yard, and I'm impressed that you know the names of all of them! When I buy flowers for my yard, I just get what I think looks pretty and don't pay attention to the name of the flowers. The only flower names I know that are in my yard are the roses. Thanks for sharing your pretty garden!

A good name for a rose loving lady! I belong to a couple of gardening groups like the U of DE Botanical Gardens, and those people know the names of everything!
