Along the Great Highway in San Francisco, just down the hill from the Cliff House and across the road from the long, beautiful Ocean Beach, are a group of condominiums built in 1991. Most of these buildings have 3 units in them, one on each floor, above a spacious shared garage with room for 3 cars and extra storage.
One of these, a 3rd floor unit with fabulous ocean views and many upgrades is preparing to be sold. It consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, eat-in kitchen, living room with fireplace and ocean views and laundry in the unit, in approximately 1,490 square feet. My clients, the sellers, purchased it in 2013, loved living there for about four years, and when life took them in another direction have rented it for the last year.
The expression, "Life's a Beach" has never been so fitting. Go outside your door, cross the road and you're at the beach. Here you'll also find a non-motor vehicle pathway set away from cars that stretches for miles. Golden Gate Park is just a few blocks away and as is the Sutro Bath remains, eerily enchanting and beckoning one to explore. For dining, enjoy the nearby Beach Chalet or the Garden Chalet and the murals decorating the lobby walls. Or, head up the hill to the world famous Cliff House for a special celebration or to the simpler Louis' with it's spectacular views.
The time has come for the owners to sell the condo. Knowing how difficult it is to find good rentals, the owners have offered to sell it to the existing tenant. We'll be working on that for the next week or so to see if it is feasible. If that doesn't come to fruition, plans are to put it on the multiple listing service after the lease expires at the end of July, 2019.
Will this unit be marketed to the public and listed on the MLS? Will the renter become the home owner? Time will tell.
