Tulalip Washington is home to the Tulalip Indian Tribe, nationally recognized, and is located on the Westside of I-5, Marysville is on the Eastside. The Tulalip Indian Reservation is 2,000 acres that is bordered by the Puget Sound in the West, I-5 in the East, Snohomish River in the South and Fire Trail in the North. It was established when the Tulalip Tribe signed the Point Elliott Treaty in 1855 with the former Washington territory.
Since those early years the Tulalip Indian Tribe has transformed into a major destination center that is focused around the Tulalip Resort Casino. There is also a Wal-Mart, Home Depot and the recently opened Quil Ceda Village outlet mall. The area is growing at an impressive rate and right now the lower foundation of the Hotel is being constructed, it should be done soon. To go along with all the development and resort theme, there has been rumors, only rumors at this point, that Tulalip Washington is planning to build a theme park as well. Hello Roller Coasters :)
Tulalip is going to be a strong economic center for Snohomish County for years to come and they are planning make it a major destination resort in Western Washington.
