Sally. What service are you using to store your videos??

06/05/2008 01:56 PM by Lenn Harley, Homefinders.com, MD & VA Real Estate

Gee Sally...you have had some adventures in home ownership lately...First your bathroom and now your kitchen. Hope you get it fixed soon.

Lenn:

My Videos :)  I also have Adobe Premiere and with Flip Video they have something. One thing I've learned is that I can resize the video so it's not taking up so much space and not take long to upload. I am also a member of Wellcomemat.com which stores the already edited ones I've made. I like that better than YouTube but just wanted to get these up and running quick. I like the Wellcomemat.com because it's real clear.

Sandra: I'm glad I have video...both the owner and us have the same insurance company so they combined and sending an investigator. The last time with the bathroom I had pictures...this time I have video too. There is NO leak...there was some kind of overflow or something that someone isn't admitting to.....so ....since it's starting to dry out (still has water damage stains anyway) but these videos...along with three others....will show the insurance co. what it was like from that night it finally came through.

I am still trying to talk myself out of being in awe over the tenants not letting anyone know for a WEEK. It could have prevented the amount of damage it did from sitting there.

Oh Yuck! You poor thing. I sure hope it gets resolved and fixed up better than new.

Monika: Hey...but I have documentation and feel secure knowing that I have all that....I even asked the owner to let me take pictures upstairs. Bottom line...when we have video and our own camera...we can do our own work for blogs :)

I read Rich's post this am :)

Sally, on the one hand you give us the view of your paradise with the ocean, and then the problems with the water in your ceiling in kitchen. I hope it all gets fixed for you. Hang in there. Having still photos and movie taking ability you can document everything.

06/05/2008 02:39 PM by Gary Woltal - REALTOR® Dallas Ft. Worth (Keller Williams Realty)

Sally- I haven't read Rich's Post....but I do believe our own pictures keep us out of trouble for blogging, and for Insurance Companies they sure do help show exactly what occured.....you can't rue with those "drips"...... LOL :)

This is one of the reasons I like upstairs units or side by side townhouses.  When I lived in a condo, my next door neighbor had a washer hose burst and did more damage than you can image to three condos.

06/05/2008 02:42 PM by Randy L. Prothero - Hawaii REALTOR® (Century 21 Liberty Homes)

Kathy: Yup..the pictures tell the story...wasn't there a song by that title :)

Randy: Yeah...I think I'll go buy the one story one in here....Now that I like. I don't even like split level....too old to climb stairs :)

Hello Sally,
Pictures certainly tell the story better than our words ever can and for insurance claims, there are priceless.

Sally - I was just talking to a friend of mine earlier today about possibly getting a flip camera.  I haven't yet learned how to post a video online.  Sorry to hear about (and see) your leak.

06/05/2008 03:07 PM by Jason Crouch, Broker - Austin Texas Real Estate (Austin Texas Homes, LLC)

Cynthia: Sure do...I was looking at them this am and saying...gee...I did a good job lol~!

Jason: The flip is easier to use than the sony one i have...especially for editing and stuff.... You will...all in good time :)

Sally,  What a bummer, but am glad that it's not an active leak.  Yeah, aren't these cameras great!

06/05/2008 03:29 PM by Marc Grossman, GRI - Central Florida Real Estate Specialist (Keller Williams Heritage Realty)

Marc: I have found that I am getting much use out of the Flip Video (did one of a listing the other day that I still need to edit as well) and taking pictures for my own blog has proven to make the Localism posts .....REAL.

Sally, Leaks, yuck.  Flip video, I have got to get one of those!!  I do carry my cameral with me.

06/05/2008 04:01 PM by Audrey June-Forshey, GRI, Gaithersburg, MD (RE/MAX Realty Group)

Audrey: I love the flip...and I love my Kodak...all the money I spent on the sony video and the canon camera sure didn't make it as easy as these two gadgets. :)

How sad Sally and Gary. It is so disgusting. But when I watched the video i started to laugh so hard and I didn't really want to admit it. It was the way you described it. Big Hole, Yep ,Big hole, Look at that big hole in my ceiling, I am still laughing. And in the bathroom video" the popcorn is falling off, almost as if you liked it,lol

But please know I mean no disrespect, it is a damn tragedy but still very funny the way you describe it.

William: That's okay...I sent people emails in which the first picture had a title ...this is my kitchen. And then the next busted up one.....titled...this is my kitchen on drugs hahaha.

Oh, Sally....I'm so sorry you are going through this mess AGAIN.  My gosh!  I hope you get everything settled and repaired soon so you can get back to those beautiful videos of the outdoors :)

06/05/2008 09:12 PM by Lisa Heindel, New Orleans West Bank Real Estate (Latter & Blum Inc. Realtors)

Hi Sally...You sure make good lemonade. Looks like I should get one of those flippy things and learn how to do the video thing. It certainly came in handy for you. Hopefully you have made good progress getting things back to normal. One Bonus: 200 points. Take care, Kathleen

06/10/2008 08:08 PM by Kathleen "Kate" Elim, LAKE ANNA, VA Real Estate (RE/MAX Lake & Country)

Kathleen: These flipvideos are cool for quick take a long videos.. the only thing I don't suggest is trying to zoom in and taking something far away...comes out real blurry.
