Frank Lloyd Wright: Timeless - Exhibition at Taliesin West Scottsdale

Hi Myrl Jeffcoat , yes, Scottsdale's Taliesin was Frank Lloyd Wright's winter home and his architecture school. It is still functioning as an architecture school. In the tradition of the felowship, the students have an option to build their own shelter and live on campus. During the non-summer months(October-April),  there are tours of the student shelters built and improved over the years. 

Hi Michael Jacobs , it is one of Arizona's wonders, together with the Grand Canyon. It's organic architecture is quite amazing. I love attending tours and later recognizing how much influence he had on architecture in the Valley.

Hi Joe Pryor , you are right - in July or August, I would suggest taking the evening tours - the lighting is quite amazing, too. Part of the tours are outside and it can be hot. The bookstore has umbrellas for visitors.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel , I am glad you were able to take the tours - there is one called "insights tour", which takes us into office, the studio, the living spaces, the Kiva (where the family and the fellowship watched movies) and the Music pavilion. I enjoyed it very much, too.
