Mount Gilead in Centreville, Virginia, the home of my great, great grandparents, Malcolm M. Jamesson (1805-1884) and Julia M. Jamesson (1812-1876). It is a Fairfax County Historic Site and is now owned by the county. The home was occupied by Gen Johnson during the winter camp in 1861-62. 40,000 Confederate troops camped in the area.
