Pondering Before During And After
A common sense blog post.....
Pondering Before During And After
Pondering Before During And After
Everything has a life cycle. People. Things around us. An important(or for that matter an un important) project. An event. A real estate transaction, of course. We can find many examples. Some are obviously/intentionally shorter term than others. Some by design and others for a variety of reasons.
As I often do when pondering such things I check the quotes of others for inspiration and to see where my thoughts/mind may wander. Off on a different tangent perhaps. So here are three quotes I found that made me stop and say "Ah"... I find that the way we look at words can be interesting. Let alone the way our(my) mind works. Well, that's another subject...
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there,
wondering, freeing, doubting, dreaming dreams
no mortal ever dreamed to dream before
Edgar Allen Poe
During the first period of a man's life the greatest danger is not to take the risk.
Soren Kierkegaard
Many men go fishing all of their lives
without knowing it is not fish they are after
Henry David Thoreau
The photo in this post is of the Ostrich Farm Lofts in South Pasadena, CA. The location was once an ostrich farm before its turn as other things including a stint as a popular surf clothing manufacturer's outlet prior to its current use as a mixed-use residential-office building and a city historic landmark. Photo provided by Michael Jacobs of a sculpture in front of the complex.
