In Awe Of Sharks
In Awe Of Sharks The subject of sharks seems especially appropriate as we have put another candle on the birthday cake of the United States of America. We also remember back a few years err decades during a warm summer when that famous(or was it infamous?) shark made its appearance not at a New England beach resort but in a movie theater with the arrival of Jaws.
So with the many official signs of Summer now in place, let's look at the world of sharks. For me I often find inspiration by studying the words of others. Let's look at some quotes about sharks. Memorable? Frightening? Let your mind wander... Oh, those were the days...the days of Summer and so much more.
When you retire you don't get fat and old.
C'mon: it's like a shark. Sharks never stop swimming; that's when they die.
You gotta keep moving.
Reggie Miller
And what's a collection of quotes without some words from a business professional-model-designer-producer? This super-hyphenate offers insight beyond the beach but I am sure she understands the value of proper sun protection too:
I'm not saying that everyone should swim with sharks,
but sometimes you have to jump over your own shadow
in order to learn something
you will never forget for the rest of your life.
Then you know you can conquer your fears.
Heidi Klum
And among the many quotes on the subject, this quote struck me from the author of the book Jaws as he chimed in with a quote. In a world where we like to label people of all types as experts let's annoit another one into this shark-tank-of-sorts:
Sharks don't target human beings, and they certainly don't hold grudges
Peter Benchley
