You can overcome your fears like I did!

Will - mine was meeting people one to one as a child.  I certainly got over that since I am always meeting people.

Bravo for doing that.  That is monumental.  I have not encountered any fears recently, and the last one was going on a zipline.  A dear friend soothed me into trying it, and I cannot wait to do that again...A

Congratulations on overcoming your fear of public speaking, to this day I get nervous if I have to speak to a crowd of more than a dozen people.

Mine was fear of swimming pools, when I was very young one of my cousins almost died and several other people when a local pool had a chlorine mishap.

Several people had to be taken to the hospital.  For years you could not get me near a pool, I did learn to swim eventually many years later.

Hi Will Hamm - What an outstanding job you have done to overcome your stuttering.  This is probably one of the toughest fears to overcome.  

I have a close family member who stuttered significantly as a child.  And, then one day when he was about 7, my mother noticed that he was speaking perfectly.  She asked him how he overcame it.  He said a teacher at his school had told him to slow down, breathe and think out his words before he spoke them.  It worked.

Hi Will- well shame on those who made fun of you, and good for you for overcoming your stutter. Did you ever hear of the country western singer Mel Tillis? He had a stutter but you had no idea when you heard him sing. Like many, I used to have a huge fear of speaking before a large group of people. 

WOW, Will, to overcome a speech disorder such as stuttering is quite a successful accomplishment;  congratulations!! I have watched many of your Denver Market Report videos and never would have suspected you once had to overcome the disorder;  Wonderful.  I do have a life-long fear and it is of taking tests, exams, etc.  Through the years I normally ace all exams - perfect 100's, straight A student grade school through college, but lots of stress and for darn sure, there probably hasn't been a test that I didn't over study.  Thank Heaven I was born a Virgo and have a very helpful memory...:)

My biggest fear is that of snakes, still hate them.  My mom hated them, she taught me to do the same.  

I am not much of an animal person because I guess I wasn't around any growing up.  I am afraid of big dogs, cats and snakes to name a few.
