Kay, you are very sharing with us. I love the "your site is not the place to try new things". My original site is mainly a content only site but it does well in the search engines.
Kay - Great stuff. It may be basic to you but not to the rest of us (or at least not to most of us). I have been toggling between your .ppt and my site trying to see if my site has any of the bad code you describe. More homework.

Kay- Good stuff. I have a couple web sites that I want to develop and reading your posts only proves that I need some professional help! What I don't know might hurt me, right?!
Great overview for novices and refresher course for those who know just enough to get in trouble.
I think I definitely fit in the "know just enough to get in trouble" group!!!
Hope to change that through great info like this......it all takes time!
thanks
As always great info. I assume there is a part II where you go into the details of linking? (or as Dustin Luther calls it linkation aka link love)
Kay: Excellent information! I learn more valuable every time you blog. Keep the information highway coming!
Kay - Excellent presentation. Seo is an important topic that any good Realtor should stay on top off.
Good to see your blogs here on AR again Kay! Thanks for the great information
@Betty - You're welcome! :)
@Bryan - Thanks, and you're welcome too. :)
@Konnie - I miss you guys! Glad you like it - and hey - sign up for my RSS feed or now you can sign up for emails instead.
@Marchel - I'm glad you're site is doing well!
@Al - You're right, it is basic to me, but that's because it's my business. Poor Al, all this homework! :)
@Matt - You're right, if you do it wrong it could hurt you, or at the very least, leave your site sitting out in the cold.
@Joe - yes, we all need refreshers once in awhile.
@Pam - You're pretty safe as long as you don't do anything intentionally deceptive, but still, do it right and it makes such a big difference.
@Geordie - Unfortunately, linking is where I don't give out a lot of info, except for tidbits about Squidoo et al. That's where the secrets are. (wink wink)
@Leolinda - I will!
@Bill - Thanks - I know you stay on top of it.
@Kathy - I like being on AR; it's a fun place.
Kay,
Thanks, If only you or Dirk could provide the soundtrack. :>
I do think I am starting to catch on a little, thanks to everyone's direction
Richard

Thanks Kay. This really helps, I am educating myself this summer on SEO. Reading posts like this is great!
KAy - This is great information that I really need. It's a new world for most of us, so the faster I can get a handle on it, the faster i can beat my competition.
@Matt - thanks!
@Dirk - yep, gotta get the basics right.
@Richard - it takes time. I could hum for you.
@John - you're welcome :)
@Christine - I'm glad it helps!
@Elizabeth - it is very new for many people - give yourself some time to work out the kinks in your site.
Kay,
I went through the presentation. Good stuff and all right on! Of course you already know that but more kudos won't hurt...
All the Best,
Glenn Sanford
