Here’s another important Foodie Alert for Carlsbad residents!
The popular farm-to-table Shop with the Chef dinner series is returning this summer, and a limited number of guests can join Chef Brad of The Compass in Carlsbad Village to shop at the State Street Farmers Market and then enjoy a 5-course meal.
The first Shop with the Chef takes place on July 24 from 6 to 8 pm as Chef Brad gets inspired and shops for local ingredients at our popular Carlsbad Farmers Market on State Street in the Village.
It’s an opportunity to also pick up some top-notch shopping tips.
No more than 18 guests will then join Chef Brad at Compass Restaurant, seated at a private table, as he prepares a special multi-course meal.
Tickets for the Shop with the Chef dinner and a signature drink are $70; additional drinks are not included in pricing nor is the tip! It’s a great deal, and sure to be lots of fun and educational to see a talented chef at work, from shopping to finish, and enjoy some delicious food.

The Compass Restaurant is on the 2nd floor of the Village Faire shopping center in the heart of the Village at 300 Carlsbad Village Drive, just west of the railroad tracks from the State Street Farmers Market.
