Dare to Dream Great Dreams

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

RFKI am always inquiring of my buyers what their dreams are. They call a home the American dream. We need to hang on to our dreams.

With the 40th anniversary of Robert F. Kennedy's assassination I am reminded of two quotes he had along this line.

"Only those who dare to fail greatly,
can ever achieve greatly."

"There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why? I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?"

Why are your dreams important? Because they represent all you were meant to be. Those seeds were divinely planted in you for you to achieve the greatness that is YOU. You were designed for happiness. You were designed for love. You were designed for laughter. You were designed for joy. You were designed to be free.

Never let anyone even for a minute take away from you all the specialness that is you. Yes, we may get detoured in life for one reason or another. But start imagining again. Go back and resurrect your dreams. Take them out from the shoebox. Your dreams are the heart and soul of who you are. Never let them go. Maybe you just needed someone with a little warmth, a little love to rekindle their flame and get you going in the right direction again. Go forth and pursue your dreams. It is who you are!

Gary, Beautifully said.  I just saw this word carved in wood in a client's home.....she had gotten her "Dream" home and bought the lovely, inspirational word to go with it.  Where are you if you don't have dreams?

Jackie: Sometimes our expectations can go way down, but we CAN revitalize them. I am convinced of that.

Kevin: Don't give up on them. It does make life worth living.

Carole: That is so neat, about the cared Dream in the wood. A great focus inside the home.

Carol: Hey stranger, glad you are back. I like what you said. People "deserve" their dreams. We have to remind them of that!

Gary,

Such an inspiring post!  Only a dream, a desire, a goal can get you out of the comfort zone and make you achieve the impossible.

Hi Gary...Thank you for posting this on the anniversary of Robert Kennedy's death.  Like many people, I will never forget where I was when I learned what happened.  I was living in Rome, Italy at the time and was grocery shopping in the supermarket when the announcement came over the speaker.  I remember being so shocked I walked out without doing any shopping

I have always had dreams...dreams probably more than goals or are they one and the same?  Anyway most of my dreams have been fulfilled.

You bring so much to the Rain.

Thank you,

Kathleen

Marzena: They do make us stretch.

Doris: That is a good point about the country being founded on dreams. So true.

Deb: I lived in Florida at the time and saw all the moon shots lift off from the pad and then on TV saw the Neil Armstrong moment. It happened.

Kathleen: I remember where I was too when I got the RFK news. Eating breakfast early in the morning prior to going to school. It was double tragic as MLK was assassinated earlier not that far back. Moments in time like that freeze our time for us. I think that dreams are bigger than goals and paint the big picture. Goals are steps to the dreams.

Liz: You may be right about the original quote author but I know they were said as well by RFK. They do give you goosebumps, and a great vision of what a dream ought to be.

Gary,

"Only those who dare to fail greatly, can ever achieve greatly."

I believe in this and I am living my life accordingly. Lately I had great failure (as I think you noticed... ) it was hard but I believe will make me stronger.

Arina: Vew a failure not as a defeat, but an outcome. Move on. You are stronger after setbacks and struggles, hurts and pains. Do not lot allow negativity to dissuade you from being the BEST you.

Hi Gary,  We are always prosperous if we have a dream.  Poverty takes over when we lose our dream.

Dan: I have heard similar thoughts along this line. We can approach life from abundance or scarcity. Thinking big requires abundance in our attitude.

Great post but RFK lifted the "Things as they are and say why" quote from G B Shaw I believe.  RFK was a great politician.  The best of the Kennedys

Brian: Yes, they tell me you are exactly right about that quote. RFK probably would have been elected in 1968 or it would have been a very close election with Nixon.
