Growing up in upstate NY I've fond memories of the peony bushes my mom planted. There were bright pink, light pink and white ones. We use to make the most beautiful bouquets of flowers while they were in bloom.
Recently my brother and sister-in-law went back for a high school reunion and drove by our old house in the country. My brother got out and snapped a photo of our peony bushes and they are still blooming after all these years! Made me smile, I guess they were right when they said peonies are long lived perennials!
