The 2019 Aloha Plunge in Carlsbad
Once again Carlsbad is celebrating summer with the ALOHA PLUNGE, this year on Saturday July 20, less than 3 weeks away!
As in the past, the Aloha Plunge takes place at the Alga Norte Community Park Aquatics Center in the La Costa area of South Carlsbad beginning at 5 pm and ending around pm.
The Carlsbad Aloha Plunge is limited to 600 participants (but I also saw 1000 max listed on the website) and registrations are sure to go fast, at a cost of $10 per person; children age 3 and under are FREE (but per the website they should be disclosed when you check-out online).
So don't wait too long – register online, and get your wrist bands now so you don't have to wait in line. You can pick up wrist bands at the Aquatics Center during normal business hours now that the event is less than 3 weeks away.
Carlsbadians, bring your swimming suit and enjoy the Hawaiian-themed fun in the pool (e.g., Hook It, Cannon Ball Crush, Diving for Treasure). Why not challenge your talents with several water obstacles and the "Key Logs" to test out your balance and skills. On land kids can enjoy a tropical bounce house, and the Splash Pad will be open for the younger children.
The Dive-In Grill will offer plenty of made-to-order food and beverages throughout the event.
The Aloha Plunge ends with a 45 minute Polynesian Show – why, you can even learn how to hula, too, if you want!

Alga Norte Community Park is one of Carlsbad's favorite, and newest, parks with a host of features, including a terrific dog park, now open for several years.
NOTE: Alga Norte Community Park will also host the last 2 TGIF Concerts in the Parks (Carlsbad’s annual free series of 9 concerts) in August on the 9th and 16th this summer. These concerts are a DON’T MISS in our summer entertainment season.
