In 2009, I was running a credit card processing company. I revamped the company and got it rolling on rails. The economy started to go down, so the owner figured since the business was running smoothly, he no longer needed me, so I was let go.
On the encouragement of a friend that I had recently met that was in real estate, she suggested that I get my real estate license, as she thought I would be good at it. So, I did so in 2010 and hit the ground running!
was a fairly solid year in real estate for me and I met some clients that turned into life long friends and clients. I can recall dealing with a prospect that I thought about not working with because the deal was so small, but I ended up doing 4 transactions with him within a year, so I am glad that I chose to stick with him!
was similar to the previous year real estate wise and even though I didn't quite do the same amount in sales, it was close. I met more clients that became close friends that also did more business with me in the years to come.
was a big year in real estate for me and I exceeded my production from the past year by quite a bit. I love that it was again filled with meeting clients that became close friends and future real estate deals.
wasn't quite as financially good as the previous year, but still a fine year in real estate. One deal that I worked on was where I didn't realize I was working with a guy that had a girlfriend, but was still married, haha. I found out when I couldn't get in touch with him, so I had to call his girlfriend and she asked me to call his house. She couldn't do so because his wife might answer, haha, talk about awkward.
was a down year in real estate for me, but I was getting more used to the roller coaster of a career it is. Luckily, I met more clients that have become close friends and will lead to referrals and more business.
was another slow year in real estate for me, but I started quite a few things that I love doing to this day. I started hiking and my brothers and I began an annual trip to watch our favorite team play basketball at the end of season tournament. It was also a great year for family time, as we made a couple of other out of state trips together! Family is very important to me.
was filled with trips with family and was my best year in real estate to date. I did my first flip and learned a great deal through the process. I met quite a few clients that have also become good friends and I am sure more business and referrals will come from the connections I made.
was one of the most difficult years of my life, both personally and in business. Business started out great, but then the wheels fell off in July. I was able to take some fun trips and I got the chance to meet Jeff Dowler, CRS and Sandy Padula and Norm Padula, JD, GRI on two different occasions. I also met Michael Jacobs!!!
is setting up to be one of my best years ever in every aspect of life! I have grown spiritually, physically, and financially. I have already eclipsed the amount of business that I did all of last year. I am getting in better shape with healthy eating and exercise. I also got the chance to meet Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP while I was in Texas, such a wonderful woman she is and I am happy that we will be friends for life!!!
