What Happens When You Drop the “Not My Job” Mentality?
Have you ever had an unexpected act of customer service bring a big smile to your face? The other day I was trying to find marshmallows 
for our s’mores. Since I rarely buy them (as in once every 10 years) I had been going up and down the aisles.
There was a young man stocking shelves so I asked him where they might be. As he stood up, it was then that I saw the Pepsi logo on his shirt. Before I could say anything, he smiled and said that he did not work for the store but would be happy to help me locate them.
I thanked him, told him to go on with his work. I would find someone to ask.
I proceeded down the aisle when he came up to me and told me what aisle they were on.
It seems this young man had taken it upon himself to find an actual employee of the store and find out what aisle I needed to go to.
I have no idea what goals this young man has for his life. However, I have a feeling that with that attitude, he can’t help but go far.
The bare minimum will get you a bare minimum life. Going above and beyond will launch you above and beyond. Bryant H. McGill
