Wordless Wednesday: Carved by Sand, Rain, Wind & Ocean!

Yesterday, on our low tide walk on Sandyland beach, in Carpinteria we crossed the fresh water lagoon that meets up with the ocean. We walked back to the area that adjoins the Salt Marsh Reserves. We noticed that the 10 -15 ft high wall of boulders that protect the residences above looked like they were carved by noted artists.  I fell in love with this one.  It looks like the tree of life...

Nature is so powerful, so strong. Capturing its essence is not easy -

your work becomes a dance with light and the weather.

It takes you to a place within yourself.

What a special treat to find on your walk. I also can see the "tree of life" in the rock. Driftwood can be equally beautiful at times.

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty we so agree with you.  Even when it rains we go outside just does not seem like a full day unless we have been outside.  We had a sick cat that was not getting better.  He loved the great outdoors.  We took him outside and something in him woke up and he started moving and jumping...it was as if that moment brought him out of his lethargy, started eating again...A

Your photo is a testament to what I love about beach walking.  It's seeing things that have weathered storms, sand and wind as you point out.  They have their own unique patina!

Myrl Jeffcoat this year we have had some stellar looking driftwood that the ocean has brought back from the fires and floods.  I found another great piece the other day and brought it.  Now we have 3 natural sculptures  in our yard...A
