As many of you know my Geno has been ill since last October. His congestive heart failure has advanced and he is on oxygen 24/7. Yesterday we entered into a new phase with hospice and a hospital bed was delivered to the house. The kids pop by frequently to chat and visit..it always brings such a smile to his face...each day is a gift and he cherishes every day he is granted. He is still able to get up and some days are better than others.
As always my Coldwell Banker Northwest office is here for us. A brilliant bouquet of flowers was delivered to bring joy and smiles as we face each day with gratitude and thankfulness. The power of flowers never cease to amaze me.
We've had a lift installed into his car so I can raise and lower his wheelchair remotely. Its amazing the technology they have in this day and age to deal with handicap patients.
We've adopted the message from a Truman Capote quote:
"I just live one day at a time. That's my new theory in life."
