Summertime...and the Cooking is Easy....

    We enjoy entertaining...and this "Kebob Invitational" allows us to do it more often when time is short due to a busy real estate  practice...and everyone loves the "do it yourself variety" this affords for guests kebob...vegetarians to canivores...it's a DIY dinner . Tonite will include several kinds of meat..with marinades...and plain. Vegetable varieties include mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, peppers - red, yellow, orange, onions- red, white and yellow, squash - yellow and zuccini and potatoes. To kebobinsure that the potatoes cook all the way thru we use those you find in a can if time does not allow to pre-cook them. 

   Guests choose the mixture of their own kebobs....and you may choose to add dipping sauces as well.kebob

     Summer dictates that we have fruit kebobs as well and those we do make...melon of every kind, strawberries and grapes...as you choose. Use a pineapple as your base if you prepare them ahead..great summer centerpiece !

  fruit kebob With large groups and "cooks" that want to bring something...no one needs to fuss a lot...just bring whatever you choose to thread on a stick and share with the other guests.  

    Maximum fun...easy to do grill, stove top...broiler...with the "recipe" each guest to call their own.  ENJOY !

Good morning, Sally K. & David L. Hanson (sally)....my family loves everything on a skewer....  that's the Armenian in them...shish kebab....traditionally with marinated cubes of lamb (not my favorite).... I like cubes of marinated beef.....

Boy am I with you on this!  Skewers are so easy and I like the idea of having people make their own combination.  In Sedona, we BBQ or grill all year long even in the winter. So this is a great idea.

We have kebobs all the time on the grill.  Our word comes from kebab, which means to roast.  And shish kebab means to roast on a sword.
