Welcome to the Activerain MLS Online group.  This group was created to make the search for listings easy to find within the AR Network.  Each group member here has the desire to do more business and networking, but also with the expectations of getting referrals, generating leads, exposing their inventory to potential buyers, and having their names and companies moved up in the search engines.

I have looked through the 23 pages of "groups" and joined those that peaked my personal interests.  However, I had difficulty finding just one group that focused on posted listings.  Search no more.  We already have members joining the group and posting their listings for your previewing pleasure.  Now, with an online MLS within Activerain, Realtors, Investors, Buyers and Sellers can go to one location, one group, one network, to find all the properties available on the AR Network. Then they are pushed over to Localism.com

It's very simple. Go to http://activerain.com/groups/MLS and click on "JOIN GROUP".  Then, when you post your listing (as a logged in member) up on Activerain, simply put a check mark in the box for the "Activerain MLS Online".  This will allow members to network with each others listings, help relocation agents find their clients homes in other areas, and the best part, to begin really building the relationships and referrals that can come from the AR Network.

I am committed to seeing members benefit and share some of the same successes that I have in Activerain.  I have posted directions on how to input your listing into AR, and into this group.  You don't have to post your listings here, but if there is an agent on the West Coast who's seller is moving to the East Coast, or anywhere in between, they may just pull up "YOUR LISTING in AR.  Then the referral contracts start to emerge.

Imagine being able to do 5 - 10 additional transactions a year by referral, just by posting your listings here on Activerain.  There are so many ways to have success within this network, I believe the Activerain MLS Online, will be a huge contributor to the success of the agents in my areas, and in yours too.  Check it out, join if you like, and start posting your inventory to take full advantage of what Activerain has to offer.

The Activerain MLS Online is not Myspace, it is YourSpace!!  Are you taking full advantage of what AR has to offer?  We would like to have our group on the main "Activerain.com" feature page for easy access to all inventory. With your support, participation, and future success stories, Activerain may grant us this request.

Wishing you all the greatest successes here in the Largest Real Estate Network of Professionals in the Nation.

This sounds like a great idea.  Better to search through a group for a listing rather than all the blogs.  Thanks for starting this group.

Thanks Jim, I know the agents in my area are very excited about being able to expose their listings to more buyers, and more buyers agents, all over the nation. The properties listed here have already exceeded the amount of views or "hits" than the local MLS system. That's in 1 or 2 days. Imagine the possibilities, the cyber sky's the linit. Thanks for the comments, I'd love to hear some future success stories from you and hopefully, we'll see some of your listings here that might interest buyers from our area. Happy Posting!

Brad:

Is it okay with Bareis if we put our listings here?

12:11am • #6
Welcome James Etta, I believe there is no conflict. This is a Blog, another form of communication, networking, and advertising. I would only post (public) information, as agreed by your MLS membership rules and regs, however, I think your sellers might really appreciate that you are putting their listing in front of a whole new network of Real Estate professionals. You should read some of the success stories that have come from the AR Network. I say post away, the same as you would in your local newspaper, homes and land magazine, and any other form of advertising that is not in conflict with your BAREIS contract. Be sure to print the 3 step instructions to make sure you get the maximum expose on your listing. let me know if you need any help at all. Welcome aboard the Activerain Network.

Some of the Agents I work with are not even familiar with Active Rain, not only do I have to tell them about this site but this wonderful new information you have provided for them!  They are going to love it and I'm sure they'll sign up and be active.  Thanks for this site, I'm sure it will grow every day!

Hi Sue - When you go to Submit Your Post, there is a box that gives you the option to open and save as a
DRAFT, MEMBERS ONLY, or PUBLIC. That is where you select public, also you don't need to check the radial button for AR Professionals, just the one that says Public (localism.com) and be sure to select the radial button that says ADVERTISE LISTING.  If you still need help, you just let me know.  Thanks!!

Going to check out your post now.  (Big Smile)

8:30pm • #17
looks great Sue.  I can't tell if you selected the right radial buttons or not.  Did you print out or look at the instructions at the top of the group? You will find all the steps on that post.  :-)

Good Morning Brad-

Sorry to be a downer, but how is this any different from the Listings by Address group that started last November?

9:45am • #36

Marc - you're no downer!!  I guess the only difference is that this group is referred to as "MLS" which is a common accronym for realtors through-out our Industry.  When I started the group, I did a search for any kind of MLS system, and I found nothing.  It was originally intended for just the agents in my area that I had invited to Activerain (104 to be exact) It took on a life of it's own in a matter of weeks, I had no control over it! YEAH!!  Gena also has a great group going,  I just didn't find it based on my search criteria back when it started.

I think the fact that there are 2 areas to post is ok.  Consumers may find listings in different  locations on the web, i don't think this is any different.  This group is wonderful too, and just keeps growing!  If you join our group, the only effort you would have to make with your posted listing is a "Check Mark" in a box.  That's ONE click.  The only other difference is that if there are members of this group that aren't in the other group, you may not be exposing the listing to someone that may have a buyer, and the ability to send you a deal or referral.

We have 200 subscribers and 386 Listings to date, I am proud of these members for their time and efforts to make this group a success!  So join up Marc, do your sellers a favor, and get that listing out there in as many locations and in front of as many agents and consumers as you can!!  I bet your seller won't mind if you put it in 2, 3, 4 groups or in 100 MLS systems, just go for it, Exposure, Exposure, Exposure and it's FREE FREE FREE.  Thanks for bringing up such a great question! I hope this helped.  :-)

TO ALL GROUP SUBSCRIBERS -

We are looking to feature the Top 5 Listing posts each week in this group!  Please be sure to include in your posts, photo's, links, bold points or keywords, rich in content, and pleasing to the eye.  Members and subscribers are here to help you.  If you need, just ask.  "Featured" listings will be rotated each week based on comments, or lack thereof, appearence and all the above criteria.

We are always open to your ideas and suggestions, so please comment if you feel the need.  Thanks for making this group a Fun and Productive Active Rain MLS.

Brad -

BTW - we do have 2 additional moderators now in our group, if you are interested in moderating, or administration, please post it in your comments here and I will be emailed.  :-)

Kathy "Kat" - Thank You for your compliment!!!

Yes, you can use the VFlyer format if you choose, you can really use any format you like, we just started the group with the instructions that we did, to get some similiarity and ease of viewing to these listings.  If the viewers are use to seeing them in the same format, they will become familiar with the format and be able to browse quicker and easier, but that was in the beginning.  The group is evolving to something bigger and better than I ever anticipated.  Be sure to post your listings to Localism.com, that will be the key to helping expose your listings and hopefully getting them SOLD!!  Thanks again, let me know if you need any assistance at all.  :-)

The Missouri Real Estate Commission is reviewing the handshake agreement that point2agent uses to allow agents to share access to listings in a single place.  Complaints have probably been made about agents keeping lissings up to date.

Terry - You can add as many photos as you like, (i recommend 3 or 4), by using the  icon above.  I would try and make the photos no larger than 2 x 2 in.  Then you can mix and match the text accordingly.  There should be an instruction page here in the group, feel free to refer to that for details. Let me know if you need any additional help!  :-)

Vincent - I'm in the west and you're in the east, hopefully this group will cover all of the "In Between". :-)
By putting your listings on AR and including them in the group, you will definitely expose your clients property to a larger targeted audience, plus you'll get more google juice from having it on Active Rain. Don't forget the "Virtual Tour" group as well. That's where the technology is really at in todays market.  The better the virtual tour, the more hits and opportunities for offers. Thanks, and best of luck to you! B-)

If you post to a group does that put your blog in just that spot so it's hidden unless someone goes inside that group?

6:41am • #63

Maya - you can resize your photos by clicking on the photo one time, then drag one of the corners to the desired size.  You can also use the appearance tab when uploading the image to set a desired size.  To make them appear side by side, just don't use any of the justification features.  Import the photo or image, press the space bar a couple times, then import the next image, space bar a couple times, and keep repeating the process.

Remember, the width of your post is only 640 wide.  This means you can have 3 photos side by side as long as they are only 200 wide each.  The larger the photo, the less you'll be able to have them next to each other.  Never import a photo larger than 600 wide or it will not look right on your Outside Blog or Localism.  I hope this helps and makes cents... I mean sense.

When posting to a group, I would create the post on your own Blog, then just add the post to the groups you want it to appear.  If you post ONLY to the group, then that is the only place it will appear and it won't show up on your Blog or anywhere else.  Only people who enter and view the group will see your post.  As others enter posts into that group, yours will eventually roll off the page.  It's still in the group, but most recent posts are the one's displayed.

Let me know if you have any questions or need any help with any of this stuff ok?  :-)
