By putting your listings on AR and including them in the group, you will definitely expose your clients property to a larger targeted audience, plus you'll get more google juice from having it on Active Rain. Don't forget the "Virtual Tour" group as well. That's where the technology is really at in todays market. The better the virtual tour, the more hits and opportunities for offers. Thanks, and best of luck to you! B-)
Tom - this hopefully inspired you to join our group and start posting your listings! The group has grown considerably since this post, in fact, I hadn't had a comment on this one in over 6 months.
Thanks for bringing it back to life, and keeping it alive!
I just found this group and I am ready to post, thanks again for the group.
Thanks so much! How do you make the pictures small and side by side?
If you post to a group does that put your blog in just that spot so it's hidden unless someone goes inside that group?
Maya - you can resize your photos by clicking on the photo one time, then drag one of the corners to the desired size. You can also use the appearance tab when uploading the image to set a desired size. To make them appear side by side, just don't use any of the justification features. Import the photo or image, press the space bar a couple times, then import the next image, space bar a couple times, and keep repeating the process.
Remember, the width of your post is only 640 wide. This means you can have 3 photos side by side as long as they are only 200 wide each. The larger the photo, the less you'll be able to have them next to each other. Never import a photo larger than 600 wide or it will not look right on your Outside Blog or Localism. I hope this helps and makes cents... I mean sense.
When posting to a group, I would create the post on your own Blog, then just add the post to the groups you want it to appear. If you post ONLY to the group, then that is the only place it will appear and it won't show up on your Blog or anywhere else. Only people who enter and view the group will see your post. As others enter posts into that group, yours will eventually roll off the page. It's still in the group, but most recent posts are the one's displayed.
Let me know if you have any questions or need any help with any of this stuff ok? :-)
Just signed on to ActiveRain today, but you'll be hearing from me - and look forward to being everyone's "go-to gal" in Asheville NC/Western North Carolina!
Hi Evelyn! I see you found THE most important person here to comment to FIRST! LOL
We'll work on your signature when you get a minute! Your profile is shaping up and you've already started commenting--you go girl!
Hi Brad! You are SUCH the resource for new members here--I can't keep up with all of your tutorial posts--you need to post one with a list of every one that you've written! That should take you about a year!
Thanks for all you do!
Welcome Evelyn! :-)
Hey Debe - always great to hear from you. I do have an eBook I've started at Activebrad's ActiveRain eBook Tutorial.
(BTW - this one has taken me two years to build) lol~
Sounds like a great idea to get some more exposure For my listings. I'm in!
