I am happy to announce that HGTV's series - "The Stagers" will be coming to the US.. After my blog post here about "The Stagers" featuring Dekora Home Staging from Canada we thought it was only being broadcasted on HGTV Canada. I am very grateful that Susan Stafford, a publicist was kind enough to comment on our blog and send me the email below...

I'm a publicist working on "The Stagers" in Canada. I saw your post and wanted to let you know that the series will also premiere on HGTV US on Tues., July 22 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. There are thirteen half-hour episodes. Hope that's helpful!

I am looking forward to seeing this show.. As professional home stagers, we are all in hopes that it will provide a true portrayal of our industry and the very hard work that goes into staging. The Home Staging company in the show is Dekora... In 2007, our very own Staging Guru and creator of this great blog - Craig Schiller commended Dekora for their website in this post .. He also listed them in his RealEstaging Blog's - 30 BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLES of Home Staging on the Web.

Ok folks, now all we have to do is WAIT until July 22nd !! Happy Staging !!

Cheryl, I had heard about this when I was interviewed by our local newspaper's TV critic (can you imagine that job)? He wanted my opinion on the impact of HGTV's real estate programs (hey! my next blog!) on the staging industry. I was quoted with my perals of wisdom and in the article he mentioned the reality TV show "Stagers". Let's hope it is realistsic, otherwise, it's going to set the wrong imspression for our industry. I'm going to program my TV to record every new episode so I can watch them. I hope this show is done well and truly shows what staging is about. It's a little tiring watching the shows the prepare a house in 2 hours with 6 people and it cost $500
