Looking back over the last ten years, In some ways, it has flown by in others it has been like pouring frozen molasses.
I had just left the big box company after eighteen years and started an auction company for REALTORS® It was a great idea, a lot of fun, a lot of hard work but in that one year I knew it was just not for me. It did teach me how to get to the seller's bottom line.

In the past ten years,
Open House Master and ActiveRain Open House were filmed.
Anna Banana Kruchten, another Master reminded me of that today.
The First ActiveRain Open House is history but preserved thanks to REALTOR Magazine forever. It was a two-day marathon, and from all that time and filming, they boiled it down to about 7 minutes of video!

In 2009 I got my brokers license and started HomeRome Realty! Well not exactly according to my clients...you see they thought it was already HomeRome. That is the power of branding. The only change...remove the big box logo from my ads. Pretty simple adjustment, I was already working from my home office.

Ten years ago, I had already been blogging for several years and very much involved with this community. Way back then I was talking to at least one member every day. And that hasn't changed.

In the past decade, there have been many new clients, some incredible unusual and unique properties, and quite a few repeat clients.

In the past decade, I have continued to go to the gym three times a week with my favorite trainer John Vargo. And recently added an hour of pilates to my schedule.

Five years ago, I lost My Lee and am very thankful for the beautiful years we had together.

I have been meeting monthly with my group of women business owners. We share friendship, socialization, and dinner. This group has been together even before real estate.

Every Saturday evening, for the past four years, my best friend Karen and I have gotten together for our Saturday night date. Our daily texts would make a fabulous sitcom.

In the past several years, I have done a rehab on my home, starting with what most would call an office. To me, it is my Command Center, and I love being right here at my desk. There is a wall of windows to watch the changing seasons, and I can even wave to the mail carrier each day. I love my one of a kind desk, vertical storage, plenty of cabinets, shelving, functional workspace, and heated floors under my desk.

In the past year and a half, I had a total knee replacement, ouch! Ten days later, I was showing properties and did not miss a radio show!
