Fifty years ago today, it felt like the whole world watched as the first man, American astronaut Neil Armstrong, walked on the moon.
With Armstrong's historic phrase, "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind," history was made.
Our whole family had the flu at that time. I was especially discouraged as my birthday was the day before-and being sick meant no party and no cake.
While snacking on saltine crackers to settle my tummy, I alone of my family was awake to witness Astronaut Armstrong take his pioneering walk on the moon.
I told myself, "I'll always remember where I was and what I was doing when the first man walked on the moon."
What about you?
Thanks for reading, "Where Were You When Man First Walked on the Moon?"
