For some time I wanted to share my knowledge about sustainability and green practices on residential properties with others, so I going to use this blog as a vehicle to share with you resources, new products , news and innovations regarding sustainability, energy efficiency and green building practices.
Sustainability is defined as; of, relating to, or being a method of harvesting or using a resource so that the resource is not depleted or permanently damaged.
"Green practices" refers to the practice of combining such materials with better techniques to create safer, more energy-efficient and cleaner residential and commercial properties.
Both developers as well as Realtors everyday are being asked about Eco-friendly homes and residential buildings. Lawmakers and Regulators are increasingly looking for new ways to encourage the use of these practices and materials in new and existing homes and buildings by offering tax credits and incentives.
This means that many homeowners and investors will be forced to invest an increasing amount of money to implement these changes in their properties to be competitive in the near future. These changes propose both a challenge as an opportunity for everyone but specially for the Real Estate Industry.
