Not an everyday occurrence

I was reading some local Tredyffrin Easttown news this morning and my eye fell on something that for our suburban area is not an everyday occurrence.

Maybe for those who live a little further out in Chester County or elsewhere in the state these things happen more often. One of our local police departments is seeking the owner of an errant pig found wandering in the township.

Not sure where the pig is being kept right now, or how they will find the owner as I am unsure of the rules for keeping pigs on your property in Tredyffrin Easttown. Dogs need a license, plus if you want to walk them in our local dog park off leash they need another license, but pigs I don't think need to be licensed.

Glad the pig was found safely and nothing happened to it as our roads are quite busy even during the summer months. Maybe the police can set up a small petting area outside their offices.

As I said, not an everyday occurrence in Tredyffrin Easttown.

Meanwhile, what is an everyday occurrence is people hoping to find homes so they can settle in the township. We have several new construction opportunities right now in and around the two townships, so if you want guidance contact Nick Vandekar, Selling the Main Line with Long & Foster Real Estate Inc., office 610-225-7400, cell or text 610-203-4543, email Nick@VandekarTeam.com, website www.SellingTheMainLine.com.

This post brought a smile to my face, Nick. People keeping "pet" pigs seems to be somewhat of a trend these days. I don't get it, personally, but different strokes for different folks, as they say!

I have seen small pigs walked on a leash, they are quite cute and intelligent,  I hope the police will find its owner.  A

Good Morning Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543

This happened a couple of years ago in our town. A 1,000-pound pig escaped his enclosure and was wandering around. Here's his mug shot...lol

Yes, the one they found was similar, no one claimed it, so it was taken to the local SPCA and adopted quickly.

Good morning, Nick - a pig pen, perhaps.  Possibly.

Haha, if you see the missing pig, you will turn it in, rather than keep it, right?

I haven't seen people keep them as pets(more on livestock). The surprise and amusement you must have felt when you saw the pig. This sure got me smiling.

Hi Nick- the Delray Beach St Patrick's Day parade was started when Maury Powers decided there needed to be a parade on that day so grabbed his pig and walked him up Atlantic Avenue. For many years that pig led the parade.

Morning Nick.

I actually knew someone who had a pot belly pig as a pet.  It lived in their home.
