HI Everyone! Woke up this morning and looking for a little special energy
for my Saturday. Got to thinking about the energy I always find in laughter -
whether it comes from others or whether it's from within me. It has power to
lift my spirit and my soul...it is a healing energy and it is 'fun.' And I like life
when it is surrounded and held in angelic hands of laughter and fun; I get so
much more accomplished and the day is happier and filled with love. Maybe
you may find a quote that fits you just perfectly. Have a great day. I have
an idea -- want to sort of keep count the number of times you hear a good
laugh today, either from within or that of others... ~Jane
I have an afterthought and it keeps wanting to be said... Growing up, the
first born and oldest of three, my parents expected more of me and to always
"Set an example...for after all..." and I suspect all first born have heard the
completion many times in their life :) In addition my Dad had a very serious
side and my place at the dinner table was next to my father who sat at the
head of the table. Inevitably every evening somewhere in the conversation
my Father would turn to me and say, "There's always way for improvement,
right Jane?" Now I understood exactly where my Father was in his thinking -
he didn't mean the word improvement, the word he meant was 'perfection.'
Yes, my Dad could be very serious and many times that definitely set the tone
and mood of the house. However, I noticed something important from young
on which I never forgot, my Dad knew the secret of true love and what gave
it away was his laughter. He had this special laughter that came from deep
inside him. I have yet to meet anyone in life that could laugh as Dad did. And
he could change the seriousness of a lot of things in life which allowed others
to laugh along with him. It was so healing. One thing I learned was Dad was
the head of the house, of our family and he 'set a good example,' -- not perfect,
but good:) "Always room for improvement, right Dad ;-)" Love you, Dad.
(Dad died in 1982)
