Hi Everyone!  Even though I am watching Liberty National PGA Golf on
the side today, I still have the new football season on my mind.  Guess being
born and raised in Green Bay Packerland, I have been indoctrinated in the
sport.  Diffficult not to be as many people living in the Vince Lombardi era
knew the late Championship Football Coach as a motivational, influential
mentor.......We were a population of less than 45,000 in my youth and I know
listening to the Green Bay Packer coach on our little kitchen radio each
morning preparing for school, the things being said were being imprinted
on my brain.  We were influenced by many factors.

We knew we were a small inconsequential team of men from the local meat
packing company...many of us stood to watch the games as they were played
on the football field of our local East High School.  We were dirt poor and had
little money........And therefore, today the Packers are sort of unique in the
NFL:  the team does not technically have a single owner, or a handful of
partners.  Instead, the Green Bay Packers is owned by hundred of thousands
of fans;  yes, the FANS  OWN the TEAM.   Fans bought a piece of the Green
Bay Packers in a public stock sale.  As the Packers website explains: 
"...Publically owned nonprofit corporation since Aug. 18, 1923..."  I, along
with a number of people in my family have fun saying:  I am an owner of
the Green Bay Packers.   My few hundreds of dollars probably net me a
2 X 4  square inch  of the football field:)  Probably what I got more from this
relationship is my love of inspirational and motivatioal quotes.  Hope you are
