Long Island Bank Owned Homes - Weekly Update: 

The list of the bank owned homes that came on the market on Long Island during the previous week is updated every week.  The week begins on Friday and ends on Thursday.  By using this schedule, it allows me to provide the updated information in time for buyers to plan their weekend.

This week's question is about viewing bank owned homes...

Question:     "Do I have to contact the listing agent to view a bank owned property?"

Answer:     Definitely not!  There seems to be some confusion as to how bank owned homes are shown.  Any agent can show you any bank owned home that is on MLS.  If the broker has it listed as an exclusive, then you would have to contact them, or ideally, have your own representation from a buyer's agent.  Buyer's agents can take their clients into any exclusive listing on Long Island.
