Experienced bloggers I need your advice

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Short sale pathways

Hello fellow rainers. I have been blogging here on active rain for about 4 months and I have to say that it has really opened my eyes to a great way of networking with and learning from one another. i keep coming across other blogging sites and because time is so vital in this business I have been holding back on joining another blogging/networking site.

My question to all of you experience bloggers is. Are there any other blogging/networking sites worth the time and effort to join and maintain a presence in?  i started a presence on linkedin but it doesn't really do much for me. I know that I'm not using it properly but there is no interaction like active rain.

secondly, other than you tube is there a good video blogging site dedicated and least in part to real estate?

I look forward to your advice and comments.

Rob,

I don't have the answers you are looking for but I am interested in the responses you get as I would also like to know.

WellcomeMat is a video site for real estate... and I didn't misspell it.  I would say that you need to decide why you are blogging and where your consumers are.  Personally, I blog here and my own site.

Rob:  I also have the same question that you asked.  I looked into starting a blog on Wordpress; not so sure I like the site.

I think the community on Active Rain is head and shoulders about the rest, but these are the ones I know of:

http://www.realtown.com/

http://www.wannanetwork.com/

http://zolve.com/

http://www.myagentbook.com/

http://www.realseekr.com/

There are some others, and when I manage to remember them, I'll add them to the list.

A couple more:

http://www.nesters.com/

http://www.propertyqube.com/

(Kathy:  WordPress is a platform, like Blogger is a platform.... it's not a network or community in the same way that Active Rain is.)

Wow, great post, and Cheryl did a great job in listing some other sites.  I just checked out realseekr.com and it seems like there are too many ads on that site, too many distractions.  But great suggestions.  welcomemat is great, but it seems like uploading the videos takes too long, maybe longer than youtube, and youtube has a wider audience base so more people will be able to find your videos.  here is my own youtube channel that I have started to create www.youtube.com/luckystarrealty

Youtube seem to have the best reputation for videos.

I know a lot of agents on therealestatetomato.com. I am still trying to figure out how to blog on different sights as well as this one. I like AR the best. The shared information here is unbelievable.
