Pondering My Personal Tickler File

This is someting we focus on every day, with each other, and when we step out of our home. We had an actual box that was know as the tickler file.  Now it resides on our computers.  Kindness, mindfulness all require practice as they come from the heart.  A

I think today we are HAMMERED with negative. Everyone who disagrees with us is EVIL..not just different. I watched a young man who made it his personal purpose to clean up parts of Baltimore. On the news I saw reporters talk about how he was doing it only for the publicity....sad. Good people do exist and often do things simply because they will make others feel better.

Good morning again Michael. What a terrific thought this is. Yes, I am lucky to know someone like that and it matters.

Hi Michael, thanks for the reminders. It's truly a lot easier to be grateful than to ponder over yesterday's "wrongs wrought on us". 

Being aware and taking the time to think is absolutely necessary in our fast-paced world. Hiking, yoga and meditation time gives me that space I need.

Hi Michael- just this morning the lady who was standing behind me in the check out line was someone I'd put in my personal tickler file. I came home and told Larry about it. From time to time, I recall acts of kindness by others and it brings a smile to my face. Do it enough and you'll find yourself wanting to do more for others. 

I am fortunate to have generous people around me.  And, because of them, I have learned to be more generous!

Your title caught my eye for sure. Not sure I ever heard of a tickler file before but I can say people that show kindness and true caring tickle my fancy.

Michael, there are those you think of right away that just are good people all the way through.

I didn't even have to think about it...the name popped right in my head. It is true that this person's kindness has made me a kinder and more generous person. He is a shining example and has made me want to be more like him.

As always, your ponderings speak to me and this time is no different. 

I have been wracking my brain to come up with something spectacular to do for 7 friends who whisked me away last week for my birthday. They knew I needed to recharge better than I did and they treated me like a queen for an entire week. I have NO idea how to repay them but, am 100% aware just how fortunate I am to have such amazing, 'out-of-the-ordinary' friends in life.
