Often visitors to the Destin area will not realize that there is a great destination, open to all, at Sandestin Resort. Sandestin resort is a very large, (2,400 Acre) private resort just to the east of Destin in Miramar Beach. The Village of Baytowne Wharf, in Sandestin, is the resort's central area for dining and retail, with shops and boutiques, restaurant, bars, and nightlife. The public entrance to the Village is on N. Sandestin Blvd. There is a guard gate. Just tell the guard you are going to the Village and you will get a pass. Follow the signs to the Village. There is a parking garage, which normally has ample parking. Hammerheads has a happy hour most days, with 1/2 price appetizers and reduced drinks. They also have live entertainment on most days. There is something for everyone, so spend some time there and have fun!
