This fabulous 9300 sq ft custom home on the Savannah River in North Augusta, SC did not say "come in" to buyers.  It was just plain boring!  I had to use the owners things creatively and add my own things to make this home get people to want to come inside and linger.  I am wiped out of artwork and accessories from this job and I'm down to just a couple of loveseats, but that gives me an excuse to shop for inventory!  I tried to make this entry want to draw people in.

It's not bad but still feels very bare bones. I think in a large opening you need more ooppfff and pizazz even if the rest of the home doesnt have it. I like the plants and rug very nice touches.

I like the simplicity of it as-is.  Too much added to this might make it cluttered.  I think you did a fine job Joan!

That is a tough entry - it is so large and open. Hope all the changes help get it sold!

My Husband owns a painting business and I painted with him for 10 years. When I became a real estate agent, I have been able to advise people on painting. What will work and what doesn't work. Needless to say, I don't think you have to many choices with that entry way, all I can suggest is a nice medium color, to draw you in. Thanks, have a great day.
