Once again, we stopped at the Papaya Man's mushroom venture. Today he and his crew had an oyster mushroom that looks like a flower (pictured above).
Their newest mushroom production are these beautiful shitakes. Ron and I bought a bag of them. Their tastes slightly resembles that of porcini mushrooms.

I love mushrooms and those are gorgeous. My husband is not a huge fan so I am subtly adding different varieties to our meals. He seems to be doing ok with that.
Hello Alexandra and Ron - with varieties so vast, mushrooms are deserving of fifteen minutes(at least) of fame. In photos, in nature and as part of culinary expression.
