The Dog Day of Summer is Here!
August 26th is National Dog Day, and it's a great excuse to celebrate canine companions with walks, treats and affection.
Consider taking the canine companion to a dog park or a nature trail (on a leash of course) where both dog and human can enjoy a variety of new and exciting odors as well as exercise.
Take a photo of the dog, plus the dog and oneself, and the dog and extended family and post it on Facebook with the hashtag #DogDay or #DogDayAugust26.
A game of frisbee, tag or fetch is almost always a welcome shared activity for dogs and humans.
