Wine Tasting at Windridge Vineyards, Darnestown, Maryland

 

Chef Dolores and I visited the newly opened Windridge Vineyards in Darnestown, Maryland. We enjoyed a wine tasting which included their Riesling, Rose, Chardonnay, Portrayal, Chambourcin, Cabernet Franc and Seneca Red Blend. Our favorite white wine was Portrayal which is 100% Chardonel. Our favorite red wine was Cabernet Franc.

The wine tastings take place in their covered pavilion. The tasting room will soon be under construction. The tastings are $12 and the wines are available by the glass or bottle.
