This Week...Catching Up
It’s been a busy week for everyone, I’m sure. School started this week and Aunt Kathy was called into after school service to make sure that my great-niece made it to gymnastics. Her mom, an elementary school teacher, along with all of the teachers had to stay at school until they were certain that all of the children had been delivered home safely.
Yes'm, old friends is always best, 'less you can catch a new one that's fit to make an old one out of. Sarah Orne Jewett
This week I attended a luncheon with a dozen women.
With the exception of my cousin, it’s been 30 or 40 years since I’ve seen these beautiful ladies. I can still remember going to parties with them and attending their weddings
Time and good friends are two things that become more valuable the older you get. Unknown
Where in the world has the time gone? We ask ourselves that all of the time, don’t we?!
Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them. Unknown
One of the ladies said at the beginning of lunch...No talking about medical issues and aches and pains!!!!
The thing is, when you see your old friends, you come face to face with yourself. I run into someone I've known for 40 or 50 years, and they're old. And I suddenly realize I'm old. It comes as an enormous shock to me. Polly Bergen
We laughed because we all sat saying nothing for about 5 minutes! LOL
Enjoy your weekend...enjoy your friends...and BE SAFE FLORIDA!
