Early this year, the Council of Residential Specialists®  (CRS) approved the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing course for two elective credits towards earning the CRS designation.

Now, agents and brokers interested in earning their CLHMS® designation (Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist) may also obtain CRS elective credits for doing so.

The two designations are a perfect match for real estate professionals.  CRS has long been the "gold standard" in real estate education and agent networking.  And the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing  has established itself, both though the quality of its coursework and its networking savvy in the luxury homes market, as a leader in luxury properties marketing.

It's a welcome sight to see two such quality organizations joining forces to offer agents more and better educational opportunities!

I took the class with Sharon Simms and her daughter Tami teaching.  I really enjoyed it.

Randy, the Institute coursework is a great class to take.  I'm glad that CRS has recognized it as a CRS elective.

Charles, I wonder if NAR is implicitly approving the CLHMS designation because CRS has approved it.  It would be interesting to contact NAR and see what their take on the situation would be.

Marchel, I found the CLHMS coursework very useful and informative.  It should be a valuable addition to the CRS program.

Good information, thanks for the tip.  Though I am not new, had my CRS for years, I still find interest in the courses they offer.  When I joined RE/MAX, over 15 years ago, they wanted all of their agents to hold the CRS designation.  Dave Liniger even attends their conventions:)

It's a Good Life!

Fran,

I received a lot of valuable information from taking the Luxury Home Marketing coursework.  I believe it's something you'd find useful as well.  Thanks!

Thats good to know.  I have CLHMS under my belt.  I have been planning to go to Vegas to take CRS course for two years now.  Maybe next year...they dont offer many classes in Dallas.

Mindy & Jay, glad to know you've completed the CLHMS coursework.  I'm surprised to know that CRS courses don't get offered there more frequently.
