Crozet Art

The town of Crozet is really not very big. I often hear from people who are visiting that say today, we are driving out to Crozet. I have mixed thoughts when I hear that. First, I love Crozet but to me it is more of a feeling that a place. Second, I think people expect to find a small town and it is not really even that.

Sure there are a few restaurants, a store, a post office, a library and even a train but Crozet is more about the feeling and the area at the base of the Blue Ridge.

Here is an example, when you drive under the train tracks of many places you see graffiti. In Crozet here is what you will see:

Crozet Train

I love the fact that where (in some towns) you might see graffiti, in Crozet you see Art!!!

You may not see more than a few buildings in a couple of blocks when you visit Crozet, but if you look closer, you will see what it is all about...

I love Crozet, you will too!

Charles, what great graffiti. I want that artist to do some work in our area. They are VERY good which makes Crozet an interesting place. Glad you were there with your camera.

In our town you can't paint the sides of the buildings as advertisements but that would probably work.

Looks like a friendly community.  Lots better than the graffiti we see in other places.  Makes you want to drive thru the tunnels.

I would much rather look at that than the tags from the teenagers.

Your right directing the people that want to do art instead of Graffiti does make it look nicer.

I must admit that I like the murals painted on buildings and bridges.  They fascinate me.

Charles, I like art like that. There are some places around Nashville that have murals similar to that one painted on it. Sure is a breath of fresh air as compared to the real graffiti.

Charles that is some really cool looking work. Whoever creating those drawings has some obvious talent. It sure does add to the flavor and creates a conversation piece for the area.

Charles, do you know what the plaque on the painting says?  I would love to know!

Charles - what adorable art work! I love it when buildings are decorated like this! Much nicer than blank cement!
