I was highly honored this week!

My son, Chris, and I graduated from our local police department voluntary academy this week.  Only half of the people who started finished the academy.  It was fun and interesting for both of us!

This amazing experience was fascinating for both of us.  We became acquainted with so many professional people in our police department.Graduation

Neither of us have ever done anything like this before.  We are very excited to be able to part of the solutions to problems in our community.

I have never been so honored in any graduation ceremony.  Our mayor passed out our diplomas to each of us.  He and all of the people at our graduation were so inspiring to us!

It feels sooo...... good to be able to give back to our community.  I encourage you to do something unusual that you may have never done before to give back to your community.

You will be highly honored!

That's a great accomplishment. You SHOULD be extremely proud of yourself and your son for voulentering your time to help your community.

Well done Dan to you and your son. Volunteering activities always surprise you and giving back to the community is a worthwhile act. I should like to find something in this area, if I can only find the time to do it with my other activities.

Hi Gary,  The three areas where I volunteer are areas that I have never done before!  Fun and fresh!

Hi Dan, Congratulations to both of you.  Hope you write more about what you were required to do to graduate.  I volunteer with Hospice and a no-kill animal rescue called Sarge's, and am a Rotarian, and they are all very rewarding opportunities.

Good for the both of you. It must be great to be able to share the experience of giving back with your son.

Hi Susie,

Thank You for your words of encouragement!  I have experienced high honor being in this academy.  They taught us every aspect of law enforcement.  Some of it is confidential.  I will soon take a polygraph test.  Over half of the officers who take it fail the test.  It will be exciting to see how it works!

Hi Mike,

Thank You for your encouraging words!  My son was by far the youngest person who graduated.  I think we were the only two who were not retired.  We are both excited to be an encouragement and strength to our community!
