3 LAWS 4 PAWS
When it comes to taking your fur babes out for a stroll, a swim at the beach or an adventure at one of our many pet friendly events in Honolulu, it's important to remember that there are laws to obey when out and about with humanities best friend. Although precious may be perfectly fine patootsing off leash with her peers, other not yet socialized socialites might find it difficult to handle.
A Good Honolulu Pet Parent will...
- Have their dog on a leash at all times when not on their own property. (City & County ordinance 131-2)
- Always clean up after their pet when on public property and dispose of the waste in a sanitary manner. (City & County ordinance 391-2)
- Obey the Animal Nuisance Law which defines “excessive noise” by any animal as “continuous or incessant for a period of ten minutes or intermittently for one-half hour to the disturbance of any person at any time of the day or night…” (City & County ordinance 90-55)
