Is It a Recession or a Squirrel?
Hope you enjoy this as much as I did..... great analogy....
People ask me all the time, "Will the Silicon Valley real estate market go up or down?" Like my late mother, super-agent Judy Carr, I answer with her same response, "Yes!"
That said, how many agents have been fielding the question, "Is the real estate market going to collapse?" Or "Are we headed for another housing crisis of 2008?"
Here are 3 things I'm doing differently in the fall of 2019 and in the upcoming year of 2020 to help educate current and future clients that I haven’t done in the last 5 years.
1) Making regular client calls or in person visits every working day. First, checking on how happy my clients are, and second, offering my help to them and the people they know who need real estate expertise.
2) Educating clients about market challenges, market updates, and unique opportunities through my blog posts and FaceBook pages.
3) Building a Five Star Referral Center for 2020 that is strictly word of mouth and built directly upon the personal experiences of my clients and team members with local businesses.
By initiating telephone and face-to-face conversations, blogging directly about questions such as “Are we in a recession now or do you expect we’re approaching one?”, and building a specialized and personally vetted referral resource, it helps clients to expereience how I and my team work differently from discount or "App Agents" and creates trust and a real relationship with me and my team.
I'll leave you with this thought.
Have you ever been driving along the freeway and suddently come upon a slowdown and when you get to the spot, there's no sign of anything actually happening there? No accident, no police, not even skid marks. Whatever caused the problem (and it may have bee a squirrel running across the road), it's not there now.
That's how I feel right now about the question, "Is it a recession or a squirrel?"
This is an entry for Debe Maxwell's Fall Challenge ☔️
