Places to Vacation Before You Die

Travel is a wonderful thing. It expands your horizons and gives you new perspectives. It’s also just plain fun! For those with the travel bug, life is always about that next thrilling journey to that next wild and wonderful place.

So what’s on your “bucket list?” We’d like to offer a few humble suggestions. Some of these are obvious choices, and others less so, but all of these are destinations that you ought to see before you kick the proverbial bucket. Go forth and explore!

The Oregon Coast

Not all beaches are vast expanses of golden sand — and some of the more unusual ones can be the most beautiful! Oregon’s rugged coastline is a perfect example of this. Don’t worry, though — there are still plenty of sandy spots for sunbathing and other typical beach activities. And all along the coast are Oregon’s wonderful coastal communities and plenty of tourist hotspots, including casino resorts like the one that visitors call “a site for shore eyes.”

Cairo

Many of the seven wonders of the ancient world are no longer with us — in fact, there is only one ancient wonder that is still largely intact. That would be the Great Pyramid of Giza, just outside of Cairo, Egypt. There are plenty of historic sites worth visiting in this world, but none can rival the sheer majesty of this one, which was considered a wonder even in its earliest days. Now, with the weight of history behind it, the Great Pyramid is only more stunning.

Hawaii

Don’t overthink it. Hawaii is famous for vacations, and rightly so: This beautiful state is jam-packed with relaxing beaches, great surfing waves, scenic drives and hikes, and vibrant cities. Be sure to stop in Maui, the second-largest island in the archipelago and home to some of the best tourist attractions and natural wonders. Visitors can check out luaus in Maui, explore Haleakala National Park, or just relax on the beach!

Madagascar

Madagascar is like no other place in the world. This massive island off of the coast of Africa is packed with wonderful wildlife and scenery so unique that it looks almost bizarre to many of us. Madagascar is not as popular with tourists as it should be, so you may even manage to have a trip that is relatively free of the pressing crowds and other distractions that are so familiar in tourist hotspots. Here’s a real secret to exploit: Madagascar has some spectacular beaches. While others head to more famous beaches, take a break from the wildlife and just relax on the relatively undiscovered sands of this beautiful place!

Paris

Some vacation destinations are classics for a reason. Beautiful Paris is one of those. Paris, France is full of rich history, stunning architecture, delicious food, romantic walks, and more art and culture than you can shake a stick at. It’s everything that people love about European vacations rolled into one, and it’s an absolute must-see for anyone who uses their vacation days to explore our world.

Australia

Hopefully, you’ll live a long and happy life. If you do, though, then you may not have “until you die” to see some of the wonders of Australia. The Great Barrier Reef, one of the natural world’s most spectacular sights, is dying: Global warming is killing off and bleaching the coral, robbing future generations of one of the most incredible places on Earth. It’s not too late for you to see the reef, though. Visit Australia and see its many natural wonders. Stop in its exciting and beautiful cities, too!

Although I do love to travel I get few opportunities because family comes first and coordinating a trip the whole family can enjoy and afford is a huge challenge Xavier Castellano . Thank you for these suggestions, each one looks like a destination I'd enjoy.
