Bailey’s General Store has released the wine menu for its Patz and Hall Winery tasting event at the The Community House, at 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel, on October 22, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A limited number of tickets are on sale now. Guests will enjoy luxury wines, light hors d’oeuvres, discounted wine prices and education by Wayne Ballard, a wine industry expert. Also, Chef Karl of Sanibel Catering Company by Bailey’s will entertain guests with a live cooking demonstration.
The lineup of wines include a 2016 Dutton Ranch Chardonnay with green apple and spicy pear aromas; a 2016 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay featuring flavors of spicy pear, lime zest, yeast and toffee; a 2015 Hyde Vineyard Carneros Chardonnay, with layered aromas of fresh peach, orange peel, walnut, wet earth, cardamom and fennel bulb; a 2016 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir with bright berry fruit flavors; a 2014 Jenkin’s Ranch Pinot Noir which is lush and creamy, with supple tannins adding silkiness to red fruit flavors of raspberry, plum and pomegranate; a 2015 Gap’s Crown Pinot Noir with flavors of strawberry jam, sweet tobacco leaf, cracked pepper and coffee; and a 2017 Hyde Vineyard Carneros Pinot Noir with warm, spicy flavors of molasses and Mexican hot chocolate. Patz and Hall Winery specializes in single vineyard chardonnay and pinot noir, which are great food-friendly wines often enjoyed with Thanksgiving dinner.
